"Ukrainian capital shall not turn into the city of outdoor amenities", - Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated in the interview to "Gazeta po-kievski" newspaper. "It is apparent that the team of Leonid Chernovetskyi and his assistants understand the inevitability of personnel changes in Kyiv authorities, therefore, they implement the idea of filling Kyiv with thousands of incidental installations, so-called outdoor amenities", - he stressed.
According to M.Tomenko, this project envisages construction of more than five thousand outdoor amenities in Kyiv, which is "abnormal in the view of not only architecture and culture, but also trade". "The worst thing is that the new architecture from Chernovetskyi team is intended for alcoholic beverages", - M.Tomenko stated. He explained that such outdoor amenities usually sell cheap draught beer. "If the situation does not change, they will sell cheap vodka in the nearest time", - the politician stated. .
The Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed the Government with a request to discuss the situation in Kyiv at the Saturday´s meeting to "prevent this outdoor amenities project".
